WASHINGTON (TNC) | U.S. Senator Robert Byrd (D-WV) died at the age of 92 at 3 AM US-EDT. He was one of the longest serving senators in U.S. History, taking office in 1959. He was 92 years old. Sen. Byrd passed away at a hospital in Fairfax, VA after suffering from heat exhaustions.
