MANILA | New polls popping up all over the web suggest Philippine voters may choose the son of Former President Cory Aquino,who passed away in August. Sen. Beningno Aquino III (Liberal) has led in most polls. The election will be held next year to replace unpopular President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo (Lakas CMD), who faced numerous scandals including allegations of rigging the 2004 Presidential Election. Former Titulian Ambassador to the Philippines and Current Chief of Staff Julian (PFP) told TNC that “I’m not surprised that there are many candidates,but I don’t see any GOOD candidates” . This poll comes from the outpour of the devastating storms in the Philippines.
