HYANNIS PORT,MA,USA | US Senator from Massachusetts,Ted Kennedy passed away yesterday before midnight. Kennedy is the youngest brother of Former President John F. Kennedy and Senator Robert F. Kennedy. He was diagnosed with cancer in May 2008. Kennedy has been Massachusetts’ Senator since 1962. He ran for President in 1980,but lost in the Democratic primary to then-President Jimmy Carter,who later lost to Ronald Reagan. Kennedy was known for reaching across the aisle for certain issues. Massachusetts will hold a special election for its Senator next year to replace him.
