WASILLA,ALASKA,USA | Former 2008 Vice-Presidential Nominee Sarah Palin (R-AK) has resigned as Governor of the US State of Alaska. She will officially hand power to the Lt. Gov. Sean Parnell (R) in late July at the Governor’s picnic. She has stated she does not plan on running for re-election or US Senate in 2010. Speculations are that she’s planning to run for President in 2012. She states she is resigning due to numerous lawsuits and complaints that have cost the state $2 Million and cost her $500,000 in legal bills.
OPINION/What do you think of Palin resigning? What do you think of her political future?
