NEW YORK (TNC News) | TNC News Editor Julian says he plans on re-launching the TNC Media Empire (excluding former TC MediaCorp outlets the RNC Daily and the Titulian Conservative). The new TNC is set to be a entertainment and news channel to be based on a new platform. Mr. Julian says he does NOT plan on using livestream.com again due to the recent problems with preserving Titulian media archives.

The new TNC will not use the former TC MediaCorp’s resources (such as old twitter and facebook pages) and will rely on blogger-based resources.

Mr. Julian says he will consider using e-republik resources to attract a wide audience; but stopped short of saying he would join the website.

He is set to contact former Titulian President TJ Norton on possibly contributing to the new TNC, according to a TNC News statement.

No re-launch date has been set yet, but it is expected to be between June and September 2011.

They have been apparently been trying to use the tollar system to generate revenue from citizens for personal use. Pres. Norton is preparing legal action against “Admin” and the Barzika Corporation.

I thought they were tired .. run down .. or something important. It turns out it's more than that.

titulia.com was allegedly registered to a company called the "Barzika Corporation", registered in Tortola in the British Virgin Islands. Through a good legal network a number of facts have been uncovered and I advise any and all citizens to think about calling their international law enforcement agency.

2. The phone details trace back to Bowling Green, Ohio, USA - not Tortola or anywhere IN the BVI.

3. Companies based in Mill Mall Tower in Tortola, British Virgin Islands - including "Barzika's" PO Box - are on the Australian Securities and Investment's Commission ScamWatch list!

4. The registration number of the "company" provided on Titulia's ToS page has been checked through Dun and Bradstreet Credibility and it's not registered to any of the details provided for BVI or the United States.

5. It's against the Terms of Service of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) to provide false details on a domain registration made through an ICANN-accredited provider.

So what have they done?

Correct - it's not fraud to pay someone money and dream up expectations.

What IS fraudulent is getting people to pay money by providing false identity details and I cite the allegedly fake "Barzika Corporation" that isn't registered either in the United States or the British Virgin Islands. The fraud links to the PayPal account being registered to Barzika as proven by PayPal's payment confirmation as follows:

Former Presidents Dennis McVicker and Reformer won their respective seats by 2 votes.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Politics) | RNC advisors reportedly said that prior to Former Pres. Julian’s (UP) departure from the RNC, he was planning on running for President again.

Former RNC Leader JP9893 (R-GOP) confirmed these talks and predicts that the impeached president will run if incumbent Pres. TJ Norton (LRP) decides not to seek re-election.

Former Pres. Julian could not be reached for comment regarding his presidential ambitions.

His former presidential campaign site, www.friendsofjulian.blogspot.com is currently a campaign site for the yet-to-be made legislature.

Mr. JP says that Julian would likely run on the Unity Party platform, which includes the Legislature proposal applauded by several citizens.

Up to 14 people are reported dead, while up to 63 people are reported missing.

The Australian city of Brisbane has woken to widespread flooding, although the peak level is a metre lower than feared, officials say.

The Brisbane River peaked at 4.46m (14.6ft) just before 0530 (1930GMT Wednesday), compared with 5.4m (17.7ft) in the 1974 floods.

However, dozens of suburbs and thousands of properties are inundated.

The death toll in Queensland's flooding stands at 13 so far, with dozens more reported missing.

Although the flood level in Brisbane was lower than feared, Queensland Premier Anna Bligh said: "This is still a very dangerous situation and we have thousands of people who are waking this morning to the total devastation of either their homes, businesses - for some people it's both.

"We should be very mindful that Mother Nature has done shocking and devastating damage. People are living, at the moment, in what I would call a post-war zone."

US Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ) [right] was one of the victims of this horrible shooting. She remains in critical condition, despite earlier reports of her death.

TUCSON,ARIZONA (TNC News) | A gunman identified as Jared Loughner shot about 16 people at U.S. Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ)’s constituent meeting at a local grocery store. Among the seriously wounded included the congresswoman herself and several others. 6 people were fatally killed today, including US Federal Judge John Roll and a 9-year old girl.

Loughner is currently in custody, but Arizona officials are looking for a 50-year old accomplice.

Mr. Loughner was attending military school and posted some unusual videos of “conscience dreaming” and called the district Mrs. Giffords represent “illiterate”. He also called for a new “currency” and called the government “brainwashing” citizens.

Mrs. Giffords was shot in the head, and earlier news reports of her death were false as the hospital reported that she was responsive and in critical condition.

Pres. Obama has condemned the attack and contacted Gov. Jan Brewer (R-AZ) to provide the full resources of the federal government. He has also personally sent the FBI Director to handle the investigation.

Gov. Brewer condemned the attack and ordered all flags to fly at half-staff. U.S. Sen and 2008 Presidential Nominee John McCain (R-AZ) also condemned the horrific attack.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) and Opposition Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) also sent condolences. House Speaker Boehner has postponed significant legislative agendas in the U.S. House, including a vote on Pres. Obama’s healthcare plan.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Business) | New TCMC Chairman Julian (UP) has announced that TC MediaCorp will play a “huge role” in 2011. He points to TCMC’s growth under the TNC News banner and TCMC’s growing bank account, which is obtained through readership.

TCMC Chairman Julian, who won election last week against now-Former TCMC Chairman JI981993 (R-Con) scrapped JI-era plans ,including a revival of Titulia Today.

Mr. Julian is focusing on the TNC franchise and the launch of The Titulia Courant, the successor to Titulia Today.

Former TCMC Chairman JI981993 remains the Editor in Chief of The Titulian Conservative after a narrow victory over Mr. Julian.

Under JI, the paper has seen a rise and decline in readership. TC’s current slump nearly led to JI being no longer involved in TC MediaCorp at all.

Mr. Julian says he is “still interested” in challenging JI for the Head Editorship of TC.

Former RNC Leader JP9893 (R-GOP) is also mulling a Editorship challenge after being fired as Post EIC by Former Pres. Wilberforce (SDP).

JP is currently Head Editor of the RNC Daily and was fired from TC in August 2009 by TC Editor in Chief JI.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Newswire) | Former Pres. TJ Norton (LRP) unsurprisingly won the keys to Liberty House. Former Pres. Renee Buchanan (LRP) will be his Vice President. Inactive campaigns from opponents, particularly former RNC Leader Luxis Avaram (Ind.) may have cruised Norton to victory.

Political supporters of the former RNC Leader, particularly from CAApac and Unity Party Leader Julian were not as active as predicted. The only occurrence was a harsh advertisement comparing the LRP ticket to a toilet.

Conservative media outlets the RNC Daily and the Titulian Conservative were not active in the election, like they were last month in a vigorous anti-Wilberforce campaign.

De-facto RNC Leader JI981993 (R-Con), who is currently the RNC Council President – has said his party will try to work with the government, to an extent.

Unity Party Leader Julian (UP) has said the attacks on him have persuaded him not to support the LRP government as he prepares to grow his party as the official Titulian opposition.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Business) | New TCMC Chairman Julian (UP) has announced his intentions to scrap now-former TCMC Chairman JI981993 (R-Con)’s plans for Titulia Today. Chairman JI’s plans included a new talk show on TNC Live in which current TNC News anchor Anna would host the morning-esque show. However, Mr. Julian has renamed the project to The Titulian Courant and is branding it as a “new type of newspaper” set to compete against partisan news outlets such as TCMC’s own Titulian Conservative, the RNC Daily and LRP-owned the Titulia Express.

The new paper will feature arts and lifestyle more heavily and is attempting to bring back a Titulia Times-like newspaper back to Titulia.

It may also have a live show on TNC Live, but Chairman Julian has said these plans are still in negotiations.

Current contributors are currently unknown, but one-time contributor and current presidential candidate TJ Norton (LRP) has not been asked to return. Mr. Norton contributed to the former Today in February 2010.

According to him, a corrupt bargain was made by the LRP and the previous McVicker administration and when the new administration refused to participate TJ went on the attack.

The deals surround Atty Gen. Reg C Ambrose, Former Pres. Dennis McVicker and LRP Leader TJ Norton.

It seems Atty Gen. Ambrose was poised to become the next Associate Justice, but Former Pres. Bill Money was tapped instead – with his confirmation ultimately being rejected, probably as a result of these or prior e-mails.

Just to let this Liberty House know .. a bipartisan arrangement was organised with the previous administration for Reg Ambrose to become Associate Justice. As this would vacate the AG's position, Renee Buchanan and Cara Dellahunty have both indicated they would pleased to serve.

Given Reg's legal service to the Republic, his credentials as a legal profressional in a jurisdiction and the way he's handled the department - I would submit this would be a huge win for your administration and an easy confirmation.

I'm surprised by this actually. My concerns are that this is contrary to information I received prior to the election.

When you discussed the issue with Reformer you expressed an interest in seeing Reg remain as AG in the new term and I was fully supportive of that as I think he has been a good one. He was then asked if he would serve as AG again and he accepted.

Neither of you mentioned anything about this arrangement and I put his name forth to remain as AG. It would have been appropriate to bring this issue up at the time instead of proceed with the notion that he was committed to being AG again.

Incidentally and just for your info the first communication I received from Dennis after taking office was to request that he (Dennis) be nominated for the Associate Justice post.

I will have to consider this issue further.

I would need refreshing on the conversation with Reformer because when all hell broke loose over the last 2 terms due to Gerry's rants .. Reformer and I have actually spoke very little outside of the cabinet room. I can certainly not recall any specific conversation with Reformer on judicial vacancies and I will check my archives for this information.

If you are relying on third hand information from Reformer who may have got this from Dennis, I would suggest this is a case of Dennis being dishonest. When we spoke on the phone approx. 2 weeks ago Dennis said it was a done deal. D has long indicated he wants on the court and he agreed that he would be next up after Colonel's term expires providing Colonel didn't wish to continue on.

Let me brief you on what was decided:

It was agreed with the former administration that Reg will be the next Associate Justice. When Colonel decided to call it a day, Reg would be the next Chief Justice and Dennis would be nominated for the Associate Justice vacancy caused by Reg's promotion.

Clearly someone is out to cause an issue with us because the suggestion there was even an issue with this wasn't even apparent until reading your reply. If this situation has been re-negotiated without the LRP's attendance, I must now consider consulting my members on how we will respond to this.

Politically speaking, we have ample numbers if required and all it takes are a few phone calls. Let me assure that first off. I enclose a copy of the LRP's October 2010 Conference Report that will provide you with our policy on Justice and Public Law Reform:

Justice: Candidates for the Court and Department of Justice are selected from the membership of the Bar Association of Titulia, to promote the respect of the experiment in reflecting how a real nation would select its legal professionals for such positions.

Now as to what might occur.

If the party is to consider a non-member of the Bar or a non-lawyer for the bench .. this will require an alteration to our policy. Prior to its adoption all judicial nominations were conducted on a conscience vote .. but obviously that position was altered at the October Conference.

Before we go further .. have the discussions you need and let me know what you glean out of it. Based on the information you have given me already .. I would suggest that someone's leading Reformer up the garden path and this can easily be squashed.

Here's the part of the email you sent me regarding Reg:

"I would like to see Reg continue as Attorney General .. if for no other reason .. he's more than qualified and it can't be denied he's taken an exceptionally even hand while heading up the Department of Justice. I would be interested to see what Will has to say about that before continuing."

After I got this I emailed you back and told you:

"I spoke to Will. He's out Christmas shopping today so hasn't been online. He's more than happy to have Reg remain as AG and in fact would be grateful to him if he were willing to continue. That position really needs to be/stay non-partisan."

The chain of emails goes on further and we covered a few other issues.

So basically prior to the end of the election you told me you would like to see Reg remain as AG and I then passed that on to Will. He said he agreed and I then reported that back to you. Additionally Reg told Will he would like to remain.

I have to agree with the point Will made here. At the time you told me you'd like to see Reg remain AG the whole thing with moving Reg into the open Assoc. Justice spot had already taken place. I don't understand why you didn't just tell me that instead of stating you'd like to see him remain as AG. I also don't understand why Reg wouldn't have said the same thing. It would have been just as easy for either of you to have said Reg wants to be an Assoc. Justice. I believe that probably would have been a reasonable request as well as he's clearly qualified.

Now we learn about this deal that was made with Dennis who to no one's surprise has now tried to grab the post for himself. And I've actually had no communication with Dennis about this as the last thing he asked of me was when he was vetting potential nominees thinking that the post was open during his term. But then the mistake was realized and nothing else was ever said by him to me about it.

I think this could have been handled a lot better and honestly I feel like you were not completely forthcoming with me.

I can understand where you might see that but to be straight there's been miscommunications galore about this. My explicit understanding was that we were discussing Executive appointments. Therefore I stand by what I said that at no time you and I discussed judicial appointments. I don't believe there is any error in saying that because it's true.

In any event .. I've managed to FINALLY get a hold of Dennis and this is what has come of it.

Reg has agreed (although understandably pissed off that he's been screwed around with this) to stay on as AG. Note that this applies to what Reg wants to do and not the party. Not for nothing but this is important to know .. Reg didn't seek out the vacancy .. it was my urging to Dennis to make the offer.

The LRP's yet to be discovered reaction has the makings of something else entirely. Renee has indicated she will back the alteration but only if the Government supports a tactical retreat from the situation. You should both understand that this has brought embarassment to Reg as Dennis offered him the job then Dennis disappeared. Note that this doesn't include the Biggs term debacle .. that was factored in. Eventually, Reg was to be nominated and the original arrangement - honoured.

I am yet to speak to a fair few of the caucus and I will do what I can to quell any flames. Being as frank as I can .. given that we've all been made idiots out of this I wouldn't be surprised if some in the rank and file made an issue of it. To be sure .. they'd be right to do so.

In order for me to have some options on the table and assist in an effective and face saving tactical retreat, is the Government prepared to publicly stand by Reg IF some entity decides to score political points out of this? He's a great bloke and has been a loyal and hard working AG in different administrations .. I'd hate for him to jump ship over being embarrassed this way.

This is a good solution that solves both of our problems. Let me know what you think.

There are several issues I'm not clear on here. What tactical retreat is Renee looking for? The current administration has not been involved in this issue so there is nothing to retreat from.

What is there to publicly stand by Reg on? Will already re-nominated him for AG. The public is unaware of the appointment deal (for lack of a better term) as both Will and I were so I fail to see where public embarassment would come in to the equation. He's not being attacked by the public nor will he for any reason I can see.

Both Will and I have already stood by Reg by renominating him for the post he agreed to hold. There has been no action of this government to show anything accept support for him thus far.

I wish either you or Reg had just said he wants to stay AG and then be considered for the AJ post when the nomination is available. That would have been a lot better disclosure of the full situation.

I don't think you did anything sneaky though and I don't want to imply that.

Additionally I'm not sure that i would support this policy about requiring a justice to be a lawyer. Some of our past justices in Titulia who have not been lawyers did a fine job and in the US there is the same policy. Additionally some of our most well respected and revered Supreme Court Justices were never lawyers and were instead former Governor's etc. This is contrary to the statement in the policy that it is how a real nation does it.

If that is to be the LRP policy for supporting a nominee I understand that is fully within your rights to do however I doubt it would be a policy I would adopt. I will think on it further though.

It's an LRP policy debated and adopted at the October Conference. The view was and continues to be that in order to prevent abuse of judicial power any candidate who is a lawyer would have sufficient skill to interpret the constitution and apply it to a case dispassionately. The other plus is in agreement with the bulk of the citizenry who want to see the Titulian system of Government and democracy taken more seriously. Since a non-lawyer would never be considered for the bench in the real world .. this goes hand in hand with that.

Where Dennis has demonstrated some insight into being capable of this there is some concern that he wouldn't be able to understand how to apply all of the law to the case instead opting only to apply selectively. That's what we call legislating from the bench on this side of the world and leaves the bench open to a growth of bias.

As far as Reg goes .. I want it made clear that I have no ill will towards this Government. For now I will play it by ear but the right wing is advancing and I that's why I wanted to contain any future situation before it developed.

There's one thing worse in politics than combatting the bad PR side of a truth or a lie - that's a half-truth.

On the contrary .. it has only been in the last few months when the majority of attorneys in the LRP outgrew the number of attorneys Titulia-wide. Added to that .. only Renee, Reg and James (formerly LRP prior to taking seat) are members of the Bar and admitted to the court to practice law.

Scud, Manhaton, Colonel, Tvarivich, Money, Leggett and myself were the only declared legal talent in the Republic - each declared by the court to have legal credentials. None of them (unless you count me) were ever in the LRP and in fact 5/7 of them have membership in or at the least close ties to the Linardist Party.

So I suppose the argument that any selection process proposed to date favours one party is with all respect moot because under the LRP's policy a person's affiliation is specifically relieved from the equation.

I was referring to those currently in Titulia as obviously no one who is no longer participating would be nominated. That includes Scud, Manhatton, Tvarivich and money has bascially left except for the occasional sign in.

Of those with legal background that would be eligible at this time it would seem it's all LRP members.

Is that the case? That's news to me. I was under the impression that others have since come along and declared their talents for use. Something for the legal camp to look at.

For my part I support the efforts of the legal community to grow. Colonel and James Matthews have put in significant effort to building up the legal talent in the Republic and even though it initially fell on deaf ears .. it now appears to be working in the newer days of Titulian life with a far more interested population.

I think that's key to remember here. While the physical numbers may have dropped off .. the acitve we have show deep passion for Titulia and are making for an engaged citizenry. There is large talent across many areas of politics, government, business, society and life in general. Not everyone can be on the court and naturally that should be left for the legal profession. Accountants be accountants .. politicians be politicians .. etc.

It would be great if the community would grow and add more legal professionals however we have to deal with what we have not what we might have.

I don't agree with either take. Colonel has a bad habit of changing positions depending on the tenancy of Liberty House and this is where people get edgy with the judiciary. I like Biggs as a person but I wasn't particularly fond with him as a judge. His best service has always been in private sector development and recreation. Then again .. I can think of worst names so for now we'll deal with what we have.

Oh and Will? Either you're satisfied that I was open with you or you're not .. can't be like Julian and have it both ways. First you said you thought no one did anything wrong then in the second breath you raised a disclosure concern. No one hid anything .. at least to my knowledge. After our convos on this I even called Dennis and straightened this out. Reg was justifiably pissed because he was approached by Dennis then got screwed around.

Suffice to say .. in the future when there are political conversations on court noms I want an LRP member in the room. I don't believe that other parties weren't consulted because you would need to assure passage before the nom got released. We got over this hurdle but I want it made clear that such issues won't be occurring again.

If you have an issue with Colonel's habits talk to him about them. That has nothing to do with this administration and neither Will nor I have any control over what the Chief Justice chooses to comment on. If you and the LRP don't want Biggs then vote against him. That's how the system works.

You can believe what you like but neither Will nor I spoke to any other member of a party besides you. I'm sorry if you don't buy it but that is the truth. I see no attempt here to have it both ways. Again wether or not Reg is pissed or not has nothing to do with this administration as we were not part of the deal nor were we told about the deal till after the fact. If Reg wants to be pissed at anyone be pissed at Dennis for making a deal that was not his to make.

I also don't buy your argument that Will is trying to have it both ways. Saying that he didn't think you did anything shady is not the same thing as saying there are still no disclosure issues. I feel exactly the same way. You and Reg both should have mentioned it when the issue with him staying on as AG came up. That would have been full disclosure instead of the only partial disclosure that either of us received.

Apparently you are used to a different way of doing things because neither of us have discussed nominees with any of the parties prior to their nominations (with the exception of Reg as AG so actually the LRP is the only one that has been involved at all).

I'm also not sure what to make of your last sentence. Is that some sort of threat?

LONDON (BBC News) | The founder of whistle-blowing website Wikileaks, Julian Assange, has been refused bail by a court in London but vowed to fight extradition to Sweden.

Mr Assange denies sexually assaulting two women in Sweden. He was remanded in custody pending a hearing next week.

A judge at City of Westminster Magistrates' Court refused bail because of the risk of the 39-year-old fleeing.

A Wikileaks spokesman said the arrest was an attack on media freedom and pledged to continue publishing.

After the court appearance Mr Assange's lawyer Mark Stephens said he would be applying again for bail.

He claimed the charges were "politically motivated" and said the judge was keen to see the evidence against Mr Assange, an Australian citizen.

Mr Stephens said Wikileaks would continue to publish material and added: "We are on cable 301 and there are 250,000 secret cables."

Prosecutors in Sweden have insisted the extradition request is a matter of criminal law and they "have not been put under any kind of pressure, political or otherwise".

But district judge Howard Riddle refused bail for Mr Assange and he was remanded in custody until 14 December.

Judge Riddle said he believed Mr Assange might flee and he also feared he "may be at risk from unstable persons".

Gemma Lindfield, for the Swedish authorities, gave details of the allegations against Mr Assange.

One of the charges is that he had unprotected sex with a woman, identified only as Miss A, when she insisted he use a condom.

Another is that he had unprotected sex with another woman, Miss W, while she was asleep.

Mr Assange, who was accompanied by Australian consular officials, initially refused to say where he lived but eventually gave an address in Australia.

Afterwards Ms Khan explained why she was willing to put up a surety: "I offered my support as I believe that this is about the universal right of freedom of information and our right to be told the truth."

Secret locations

He said Wikileaks was being operated by a group in London and other secret locations.

US State Department spokesman PJ Crowley said it was possible the US would make an extradition request for Mr Assange but he said it was premature as the criminal investigation into Wikileaks was still ongoing.

Mr Assange was arrested by appointment at a London police station at 0930 GMT.

Mr Assange's supporters have written an open letter to Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard, asking her to protect him.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Politics) | A new controversy has been caused from a Titulian Conservative article concerning Arts Sec. Alex Pijanowski (SDP). The article claims that CAApac, a political action committee actually supports Mr. Pijanowski’s close re-confirmation – but not his defeat. Further controversy was generated when LRP Leader TJ Norton responded by issuing a scathing attack. This new “partisan war” will surely create more activity on the issue, such as the previous RNC Daily-Reformer controversy caused by Vice Pres. Reformer and Now-former Post EIC JP9893 (R-GOP)’s RNC Daily.

Mr. Norton’s response to the TC article has garnered considerable attention for the article.

He is even quoted at the end by suggesting Mr. Pijanowski should sue and Mr. Norton will be happy to help (just for fun).

These current controversial attacks are generating mass readership for the RNC Daily and Titulian Conservative.

Perhaps, TC wanted to catch up from 3rd place to the RNC Daily’s 1st place as the most read TCMC-affiliated paper?

TITULIA CITY (TNC News) | RNC Daily Head Editor JP9893 (R-GOP) dismissed rumors that the recent increase in readership of the RNC’s party paper will lead him to announce the paper’s separation from TC MediaCorp. TCMC currently owns 20% of the RNC Daily and spends about 35% of its resources on the paper.

TCMC insiders say that Mr. JP was planning a revenge plot after being fired from The Titulian Conservative in Summer 2009 by spinning off the Daily with a new RNC-affiliated media group.

They say that the steps that led to create TCRN , a center-right storage place of media may indicate they no longer want to use the TNC Name provided by TCMC.

The controversy generated by Vice Pres. Reformer (SDP) and Former Post EIC JP9893 (R-GOP) has put the paper in a place to outnumber TC MediaCorp and potentially grow larger.

The documents show that they criticized world leaders such as Former British PM Gordon Brown (Lab), Current British PM David Cameron (Con), French Pres. Nicolas Sarkozy (UMP) by calling him a “emperor with no clothes”, Afghan Pres. TITULIA-POLITICS/BREAKING: Wilberforce ousts McVicker

TITULIA CITY (TNC Politics) | President Dennis McVicker (Lib) was defeated by SDP Leader Will Wilberforce in a landslide. Both ran unenthusiastic campaigns, and voting was low at approximately 1% (13 votes total). Mr. McVicker only garnered 3 votes (23%) to President-Elect Wilberforce’s 10 votes (77%).

Low turnout from the LRP and RNC were likely a key factor in Mr. McVicker’s defeat. Mr. McVicker won the previous election thanks to their support.

Both groups have recently felt alienated from the outgoing McVicker administration. Notable Conservative organizations refused to endorse Pres. McVicker’s re-election.

The Titulian Conservative and its PAC, CAApac heavily campaigned for McVicker in October and it turns out, he was not given another chance.

On the final day of campaigning, LRP Leader TJ Norton announced it had also decided not to endorse a candidate, giving the incumbent a major blow to his administration.

A feud between Vice Pres-elect Reformer (SDP) and the RNC Daily over its endorsement of Pres. McVicker and its article concerning the timing he was announced as Wilberforce’s VP nominee occurred, with the RNC party paper on the brink of cursing the new VP.

Mr. Wilberforce was largely absent from the campaign, as well as his opponent.

It remains to see if Mr. Wilberforce will continue an inactive government as the outgoing one has.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Politics) | LRP Leader TJ Norton has introduced a measure to eliminate the Nomination Period in Presidential Elections. This would mean, literally anyone can run and there can be as much candidates as possible. Mr. Norton’s aim is to increase activity, since most of it surrounds the presidential race.

If passed, the mandate would expire in March 2011 and would have to be renewed. The bill is a major change to the presidential election system, which has undergone many changes since the new site came into effect.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Politics) | Conservative political sites have decided not to endorse Pres. McVicker’s re-election, after strongly supporting him in the previous election.

The only newspaper to issue an endorsement was the RNC’s party paper, the RNC Daily to Mr. McVicker citing the other candidates’ lack of leadership and activity.

The Titulian Conservative and CAApac have both remained silent on the endorsement issue. TC’s homepage has said it (and CAApac) are “focusing its resources for the legislative election”, basically a nice way of saying NO ENDORSEMENT.

Mr. McVicker will have to gain Conservative support in order to defeat other candidates from the left. He may be aided by a split leftist vote coming from SDP Leader Will Wilberforce, Former Presidents Reformer (SDP) and Trvthseeker.

PHNOM PENH (BBC News) | At least 339 people been killed in a stampede during festival celebrations in the Cambodian capital, Phnom Penh, Prime Minister Hun Sen has said.

Huge crowds had gathered on a small island for the final day of the Water Festival, one of the main events of the year in Cambodia.

The stampede took place on a bridge, which eyewitnesses said had become overcrowded.

Hundreds more people were injured in the crush.

Hun Sen described the stampede as the "biggest tragedy" to hit Cambodia since the mass killings carried out by the Khmer Rouge regime in the 1970s.

He said he had ordered an investigation.

The authorities had estimated that more than two million people would attend the three-day festival.

Panic broke out after a concert on Diamond Island, which followed a boat race on the Tonle Sap river regarded as a highlight of the festivities.

Sean Ngu, an Australian who was visiting family and friends in Cambodia, told the BBC too many people had been on the bridge.

People at both ends were pushing, he said, causing those in the middle to fall to the ground and then get crushed.

The bridge became jammed with people, some crushed under foot and others falling into the water.

Witnesses spoke of bodies littering the area.

TITULIA CITY (TNC News) | Activity is hitting a new low, according to a TNC News Analysis. Activity is now at a bare 1.66799047 %. Pres. Dennis McVicker and Vice Pres. Luxis Avaram seem to contribute to this inactivity crisis by not making significant announcements or contributions. Former Pres. Gerry Brady announced his departure from Titulia, and it seems less than half of the RNC and most of the LRP seem to be the only remaining forces in Titulia. Pres. McVicker attempted to bring new citizens, only to capture at least 3 who have barely logged on.

The political war over inactivity can no longer be fought as all parties have a share of the blame. It is unclear if legislative elections will still occur if a great amount of Titulia is inactive.

Activity from the Norton/Buchanan administrations (taken Oct 8,2010):

Population increased by 33 citizens, but activity was still at 3.0995106%.

Meaning activity declined by about ~2+ % in the month of October from the transition of Pres. Buchanan to Pres. McVicker.

It is unclear what occurred, but it is likely the lack of activity from both administrations is to blame.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Politics) | Acting LRP Leader TJ Norton responded to posts by The RNC Daily using a TNC Newswire article with the labels “LEFT LRP”.

TNC Newswire distributes these articles to affiliates for Breaking News or News Alerts. In no way do we promote the RNC Daily’s title for this article.

TNC News partner the Titulian Conservative used a more blatant title “Ambrose Out, Norton in – for awhile”, which is appropriate for its center-right agenda.

Of course, tensions between the LRP and RNC are not particularly friendly. The LRP broke off a coalition with the RNC after the RNC disapproved of then-President Norton ‘s administration (LRP) .

LRP RESPONSE TO RNC DAILY:

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON THE RNC'S 'LABELLING' OF THE LRP

I understand that the RNC considers every citizen should be forced to wear a label, so the LRP on this one occasion will assist the RNC with their traditionally Nazi-style habits of political identification tags.

Membership and political leaning

The "Liberal Republican" name was styled, according to party records, by former leader Leah Carmody and co-founders James Matthews and Frank Stevens. It was established as a house for all from the left to the right but with an appreciation for social progressive issues - issues which should have been but not advocated in both Government and the legislature by the SDP and have been ignored ever since former President Eric Meissner left the store. Since that time, the SDP has been more centre-right than ever realised .. detracting from their once proud position as the stalwarts of social progress in the Republic.

This left a large vacuum in the left movement so there needed to be a party that represented not only centre and centre-right issues but one that wasn't hostile to legislatively progressing the social agenda. The LRP satisfied that early into its history when it was established in May 2010 - interestingly - in response to being pushed by the far right of the RNC being hostile to its values.

A new political movement was championed by those who were criticised in the harshest manner, people who were also passionate about politics and had a different idea to the political establishment held in Titulia.

Our first leader, Leah Carmody, was a primary example of the moderate leadership the LRP needed to park its message in the electorate. She fought hard alongside those in the RNC - who at the same time were then and still trying to destroy us as a party - to push for reform of the legislature as a more inclusive parliamentary chamber. Her efforts did not realise what could have been due her partisan prosecution and life matters outside of the Republic pulling her away.

Commentary from our internal party chat archives reveals that Reg Ambrose was the most unlikely of successors. I was a member of the party by that time and recruited heavily by Renee Buchanan and Frank Stevens. Renee was the anticipated leader in waiting but it was soon discovered that Reg's nomination was actually welcomed by the then frontrunner and in true Liberal Republican style - Renee walked off the stage honouring her friend and legal mentor.

By this time, the inaugural Carmody-Matthews era was over and the party established itself as a centrist movement under Reg Ambrose. In the 6 months since the party was founded - not 1 internal brawl has come to light. Our members honour and stand up for their mates in good times and when the chips are down.

So in response to the RNC's persistent misinformation campaign about our party and what it stands for, to assist them and their fellow political assailants - the political ideological of our party is near broad spectrum. The only exception being that the far right has no presence, nor is its brand of fascism and non-stately behaviour welcome in our party.

There are other party options for those who choose to pursue these policies in Titulia. We are proud to represent responsible politics and stand against those who bring harm to the Republic. If any single policy can be achieved more than another - let that stand above all.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Newswire) | LRP Leader Reg C Ambrose has announced his resignation. He will be temporarily succeeded by Acting LRP Leader TJ Norton until a new leader is selected between Former Pres. Renee Buchanan and Todd Richards.

Mr. Ambrose will remain with the party and continue to run as a candidate for the South District. He also currently serves as the Attorney General in the McVicker administration.

Mr. Norton will remain as Deputy Leader when a new leader is selected in their party’s Nov. 20-21 Conference.

Mr. Ambrose succeeded Leah Carmody in July 2010 shortly before the August Presidential Election.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Politics) | Former Pres. Julian (R-Con) is eyeing a comeback after being ousted by impeachment in June. Mr. Julian is currently running unopposed for the North District legislative seat. If the RNC is miraculously able to form a majority, it is no secret that he will become the House Speaker.

However, if the LRP wins a majority as projected by TNC News – he would most likely become the Opposition Leader if the RNC manages to win another district besides his.

Currently, the only other RNC candidate for the legislature is RNC Party Council Pres. JI981993 (R-Con) – who is expected to face off against Former Pres. TJ Norton (LRP) for the Central District.

According to reports, the RNC is trying to get candidates for the East District – where the Linardists where expected to announce a candidate, and the West District to face off against Former Pres. Renee Buchanan (LRP).

The RNC is not expected to challenge Attorney Gen. Reg C Ambrose (LRP) in the South District.

The Republicans successfully ousted House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and will now control the House under Speaker-designate John Boehner (R-OH). However, they failed to win control of the US Senate – but managed to take 6 seats from the Democrats. Two State Races remain in doubt – Washington State and Alaska. Both races have incumbents facing re-election.

The latest TNC Politics poll shows the LRP most favored by one percentage poll over the RNC. However, an RNC-backed pollster showed the RNC ahead by 2-3 points.

TITULIA CITY (TNC News) | TC MediaCorp Chairman JI981993 (R-Con) admits that he stalled TNC Programming due to low viewership. Mr. JI announced TNC will host specials next week to formally bring back the network. Mr. JI also said Titulia Today with Anna will launch next week, with the site soon to follow. TC reported that TCMC had been planning to re-launch The Titulian Liberal. However, TCMC has scrapped plans of this citing that the domain belongs to Arts Secretary Alex Pijanowski and that the project was ‘extremely unsuccessful’.

TCMC will permit TNC News to launch an election episode of Newshour via Youtube after a long delay tonight.

TNC will formally come back live next Wednesday at 10 PM US-EDT.

TITULIA CITY (TNC Politics) | Former RNC Leader JP9893 (R-GOP) talked to us today about his concerns for this “new” government.

Mr. JP is concerned that the LRP and SDP have a greater influence than the RNC does in the newly elected government with new RNC Leader Luxis Avaram (R-GOP) as Vice President. He says that the establishment do-nothings “are still there”.

There are more SDP and LRP Cabinet Members than the RNC. Losing Presidential Candidates Will Wilberforce and Reformer are in the cabinet – while LRP Leader Reg C Ambrose is Pres. McVicker’s AG. Former Pres. TJ Norton (LRP) will be the “Digital Secretary”.

The RNC Party Council will vote this week to give the government support. They have gone as far as to invite both cabinet members and the President to upcoming meetings.

Despite working together in government, the LRP and RNC are gearing up as both parties release adverts attacking each other.

Former Pres. TJ Norton (LRP) will stand as a Candidate for the Central District and will face off against RNC Party Council Pres. JI981993 (R-Con).

The advertisements are expecting to increase with the RNC announcing that they will release an anti-LRP ad in the Central District, and possibly the West – where Pres. Renee Buchanan (LRP) will run.

TITULIA CITY (TC-TNC) | TNC News conducted an interview with Pres. Dennis McVicker (L) on his upcoming plans for government.

Please Note: This interview was conducted prior to the Presidential Election’s final result.

1) What are your plans if elected President of Titulia?

My plans if elected President include creating the Department of Citizen Activity; which will absorb the Department for the Arts, and expand to include providing activities, programs, and games for the citizens of Titulia. I will also create the financial infrastructure we need to build the economy through specific legislation such as a rewritten business contract proposition, guidelines for a credit market, and a centralized government bank.

2) What do you plan on bringing back activity to Titulia?

As I mentioned previously I plan on creating the Department of Citizen Activity, but on top of that I plan on inviting my friends from eRepublik to join as well. Both game are good for people interested in politics, but I think Titulia has greater potential for those interested in nation building.

3) What do you plan on doing with the legislature plans?

I plan on working with Admin to implement the legislature before the end of my term, I plan on changing the Department of Innovation into the Department of Technology; with part of their objective for the term being to help with implementation of the new Legislature, and the rest of their duties being to help the administration with plans other plans I have for the administration.

4) What policies from the previous administration(s) do you plan on keeping or abolishing?

Other than some minor changes I have stated already, I do not have any specific plans to change policy passed by past administrations.

5) What further reforms do you plan on implementing?

I plan on push fo more reforms of the economy, and pushing any reforms I believe will help with retention and immigration.

6) What have you learned from your past that help you govern?

In the past I would often delegate too little, and I failed to reach out to people who could help further the republic because of political differences. This term I plan on allowing my team to do the work we're elected to do, and reaching out to people of all political backgrounds to do what is best for Titulia.

7) Specifically, how would you govern?

I will be a very hands on manager, but I will give my cabinet the opportunity to shine in their own right. No idea that is presented to me be either the people, or my cabinet will be rejected because it's not something I believe in from an ideological standpoint, instead I plan on working with everyone to get the best ideas put forward for the betterment of the republic.

8) What do you plan on doing to each government department?

Other than the changes I've listed I do not plan making changes to the departments, other than giving my people the ability to come up with their own ideas.

9) How would you improve relations with the Admin?

I do not plan on having much interaction with Admin, except for pushing for completion of the legislature. That said, I have always been able to work with Admin as President in a way that was both respectful and cordial.

10) Would you introduce any new site features (via Admin) if elected?

I do not plan on pushing for any new site features from Admin this term, unless my cabinet or the people suggest ideas that can not be accomplished by this administration. I would rather have Admin focus on getting the legislature together this term.

TITULIA-BREAKING/Dennis McVicker wins a 3rd try at Liberty House

TITULIA CITY (TC-Daily) | Former Buchanan Commerce Secretary Dennis McVicker (Lib) and RNC Leader Luxis Avaram (R-GOP) came from a 4-5 vote disadvantage to a 1-2 vote advantage over SDP Challengers Will Wilberforce and Former Pres. Reformer.

Yesterday, right when CAApac – TC’s Political Action Committee posted new ads for the McVicker/Avaram campaign – the ticket was gaining about ~42% to Mr. Wilberforce’s ~58%.

TC and RNC Daily polls showed Mr. McVicker leading by a very thin margin. The votes that boosted McVicker/Avaram may have been of those in the LRP or RNC.

It is unlikely that the Linardists went for the ticket, as Mr. McVicker was expelled from their party about a year ago.

TITULIA CITY (TNC News) | TCMC Chairman JI981993 (R-Con) is not giving up on Titulia Today, the failed lifestyle arm of the TCMC Media Group. “Today” had an attempted re-launch in June, but under a whole new personality. TCMC tried to get pundits from all different political spectrums to publish opinion articles on the new Today, but that failed as well.

Now, TCMC will re-attempt re-launching Today under the original format, with a new twist – similar to Global Sunday/Morning Talk Shows.

Anna will host the show from London, adding to her many duties with the news channel. Ms. Anna also hosts TNC World News (modeled after TWN:Titulia World News – TNC’s predecessor).

TCMC has said it will not consider adding Former Contributor TJ Norton (LRP) to the show, unless he personally asks to make an appearance or be part of the program. Currently, relations between TCMC and Mr. Norton are frosty with the “war of words” between Norton and TNC News Partner The Titulian Conservative.

Today will use the original website (currently closed to the public) that Today was launched on.

TCMC projects the show will launch in the coming months (most likely November or December).

Both the RNC and Mr. McVicker confirmed this arrangement, but RNC Leader Avaram has not yet released a statement – which is expected to occur on the RNC Daily.

Mr. McVicker currently is tied with September 2010 Runner-up Will Wilberforce (SDP) on nomination count. Both of them only need one vote to continue to the second round.

Former Pres. Reformer (SDP) is also apparently in the race, but has failed to garner any nomination votes so far (as of 10 PM US-EDT).

Delacruz Vice Pres. John Calvin (TPP) is also up for nomination and so far has 1 vote.
